Teamfight Tactics launches its second set revival as a temporary game mode

Reborn: Dawn of the Heroes‘, is a new temporary game mode of ‘Teamfight Tactics‘ that promises refreshing twists to the experience, as well as a unprecedented progress system which is based on the mid-term update of Set 5 “Judgment Day: Dawn of Heroes”. It will be available on both PC and mobile devices.From September 25th to November 4th of 2024.

The strategy game will bring back Final Judgement: Dawn of the Heroes with his latest rebirth of set. The rebirths These are temporary game modes that serve to revitalize past champions and attributes from previous sets.To achieve this, the ‘Teamfight Tactics’ team says it is putting into practice what it has learned from modern TFT in order to improve the experience.

It will offer the following features:

Classification of rebirth: A new progression system where you can unlock new ranks and free rewards based on skill and how players perform in TFT with the Rebirth game mode.

Updated ceremony: Heroic Pingu will appear on the board and grant blessings to help you improve your units.

New Set Rebirth Augments: : There were no augments in the original set, but heroes here will also receive attribute and champion augments in the set, such as the Cleaving Monstrosity – for the Abomination attribute, where the Monstrosity equips an axe to deal additional cleave damage. Players will receive 1 Kalista and 1 Nunu.

Advance of death: Allows Thresh to latch onto the furthest enemy and deal bonus damage on his next attack, evoking his League of Legends gameplay experience.

Be reborn: Dawn of Heroes is the second set revival in Teamfight Tactics. Earlier this year, TFT released Set 3.5 Reborn: Galaxies to kick off the set revival, and players welcomed this new initiative after another well-loved mid-game set. During its launch weekend, Reborn: Galaxies hit nearly half of total game hours.

Final Judgement: Dawn of Heroes (Set 5.5) was the mid-term update for Set 5, Teamfight Tactics: Reckoning, released in July 2021. This landmark update introduced mechanics that have become core elements of TFT, such as Radiant Items, Divine Blessing, and Tome of Traits. The event will go live with Patch 14.19 (September 25, 2024) and go dark with Patch 14.21 (November 4, 2024).

“With Rebirth: Dawn of Heroes, we can’t wait to see players step back in time to relive an iconic moment in the game where these mechanics were completely groundbreaking, yet now serve as a core part of what makes TFT so special and fun to play today,” said Christina Jiang, Senior Production Manager.

Riot Games has prepared a video called “Development and laughter“, where Jiang and Lead Designer Keane Tan discuss the goals they want to achieve with the set revival and talk more in-depth about the features. Additionally, this video also includes information about “Challenges of Relogelio”, an experimental PvE mode, led by Matthew Wittrock, lead game designer, and Philip Lamkin, technical designer.
