SciencePR summons future scientific ambassadors: “Our commitment is to help them discover their potential”

Puerto Rico Science (Sciencepr), coinciding with the celebration of its tenth anniversary, opened the call of the program Triunfo Seeds 2025-2026aimed at girls from seventh to ninth grade interested in disciplines Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and develop their leadership through projects with community impact.

This free cost program is aimed at students of public, private and young schools educated in the home (“Homeschoolers”) resident in Puerto Rico. Through its hybrid curriculum “From triumph seed to Ambassador Stem”participants can explore careers, access workshops and leadership events, self -esteem, computing and scientific experiments, visiting research laboratories and/or industrial facilities and developing a scientific communication project for their schools or communities.

The young women will receive a welcome pack with all the necessary materials for their participation, which will be carried out from August to May of the School Year 2025-2026. In addition, they can meet women leaders in Stem and models to follow, residents inside and outside Puerto Rico, through mentoring activities, face -to -face events, the online talk series Podemos and the digital collection of Latinas in Stem.

“Having access to mentors of various backgrounds and professions allows our girls to see their own stories, cultures and aspirations. This representation is essential to strengthen their trust, expand their vision of the future and help them discover that they can go as far as they propose.”said the doctor Liz Hernándezprogram manager, via press communication.

Girls interested in participating must go through an application process consisting of two parts: 1) Complete the form available in https://bit.ly/semillas2025-2026 In O before May 13, and 2) participate in an online orientation on April 24, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, on the Sciencepr YouTube channel or see the recording on the official website before May 13.

120 students resident in Puerto Rico will be selected; However, all young women request will have access to complementary activities online and digital resources.

Since its creation in 2015, Semillas de Triunfo has impacted more than 95,000 people in Puerto Rico, through the scientific dissemination projects of its participants.
