One of the most interesting manufacturers in recent years is undoubtedly Nothing, mainly because it has dared to break with a uniform design in the brand, both in its mobile phones and in its headphones. And today, at MWC, it presented its latest device, the Nothing Phone (2a). Following the path of simulating the interior of the device, we can see the lenses, very careful profiles and the entire system illuminated by a circular grid design. In addition, the smartphone presents a first in the sector with its one-piece cover at a 90° angle, this makes it visually more elegant, but also more resistant to falls. Nothing has done little more than present it in this case, since we will have to wait until next week to find out its specifications and price.
And if Nothing stands out in design, Huawei has not been left behind at all with the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design, a device whose manufacturing process hides the first surprise. The Chinese manufacturer has for the first time used rare earth elements in the synthesis process of red ceramics. To do this, each of the phones has been subjected to a calcination technique at 1400 °C and more than 50 processes during 60 days necessary to achieve that color and finish.
In terms of specifications, it incorporates a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen, Kirin 9000s processor, two 48MP lenses and a third 40MP lens, all arranged in a hexagonal module and a 13v MP front lens. The battery is 5000 mAh. It also has the satellite calling system activated. But what makes this series unique is that its owners, because they “belong to the select group of Ultimate Design” will have access to exclusive privileges for one year: legal consultations, riding lessons and golf practices… among others. And all this for about 1600 euros.
And finally it arrives the Nubia Flipa commitment by ZTE to foldable mobile phones, in clamshell format, much more accessible: less than 600 euros. The device has a high-strength hinge, 6.9-inch internal panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate.The battery is 4,130 mAh (very large for this type of device) and its brain is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, it is not the most advanced, but it is reliable and keeps the price at the desired levels. As for its cameras, a 50 MP main lens and a 16 MP front lens. 8 GB RAM memory and up to 256 GB of storage. We will have to put it to the test.
