La Mancha “liquid gold” award

The title for the best oil in the world already has an owner and it is the La Mancha Dehesa el Molinillo Coratinaawarded as number one in the International Awards for the Quality of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Evooleum Award. With a select audience of producers and chefs, the Evooleum Gala celebrated the excellence of oils in Madrid.

While Dehesa el Molinillo Coratina was listed as the best extra virgin olive oil in the world, the gala also rewarded the diversity and quality of EVOO, with the participation of producers from countries such as Italy, Greece, Israel and Brazil. The Evooleum Awards were presented to the Best of Each Category, as well as the TOP20 Limited Production EVOO Awards (for small producers), the awards for the best packaging designs (Evooleum Packaging Awards); and the TOP10 EVOOs healthiest in the world. One of the most emotional moments occurred with the recognition of the Best Female Producer, which was received by Consoli Molero, oil mill master, manager and production manager of the Olivarera de Valdepeñas Cooperative (Colival). Beyond the oil filmmakers, the talents of the comedian were also recognized Leo Harlem and chef Javier Bonetwho received the EVOO Ambassador Award. Bonet, known for its restaurants Cutting Room and Zero Roomannounced that it will bring EVOO to London, while Harlem, with its characteristic humor, advocated for an “Olive Oil Ministry” to expand its global influence.

Attendees highlighted the importance of events such as the Evooleum Gala, as they are occasions that not only celebrate EVOO as a gastronomic product of excellence, but also position the Spanish «liquid gold» as a cultural, healthy and innovative emblem.
