The American Newspaper Group (GDA), in collaboration with the News Product Alliance (NPA) and with the support of Google News Initiative, initiated a program designed to train newsroom leaders in the development of journalistic products, using agile methodologies and technologies. emerging such as artificial intelligence (AI).
The “Editorial Product Management Sprint” will train 29 leaders of the GDA media newsrooms, with the objective of acquiring the product strategy, technical experience and change management skills necessary to lead the development and innovation of news products.
During the program developed by the NPA, journalists will be trained in identifying audience needs and business opportunities, articulating a value proposition around them, defining a product roadmap, prototyping and testing.

The “Editorial Product Management Sprint” will include weekly sessions, personalized coaching and access to a global network of experts. Upon completion, leaders will receive additional support to implement the most promising products in their organizations.
