There is no day that National Police Personnel Division is not involved in any controversy. The last, let us remember, has been their rejection of the Algeciras national police being able to display the Gold Medal on their uniforms, which this city has awarded them. In fact, he has only agreed to record it in the agents’ file but with a very significant nuance: it cannot be displayed on the uniform and not on a scale.
Well, Interior does not stop accumulate “unfinished business”since far from solving them… it accumulates them. And it shows the problem that has been going on for several months with the payroll of the national police officers who have recently joined their positions. “It turns out that the Personnel Division thinks totally logical and acceptable that the colleagues of the 38 Basic Scale promotion They ‘only’ had to wait up to four months to collect their payroll correctlyonce incorporated into their destination after the swearing-in,” denounces the Spanish Police Confederation (CEP).
Because the problem has been the following: the police officers of this specific promotion were sworn in on June 28 and had until July 29 to join the squads. Once incorporated into their new destinations, not only did they not earn well for the months of August and September, but they They have had to wait until October and some even until November to collect what determines your position.
Contempt for national police officers
A delay of up to four months that, in the opinion of the Personnel Division “falls within the totally logical and admissible deadlines.” And this response, far from calming the spirits, has inflamed them: “What difference does it make that so many police officers have been during all that time still receiving the payroll of the internship assignment? What does the inconvenience of being paid less for months matter? even if it is later regularized or they take money from you if you have overcharged? Nothing. Wait, hold on, it’s ‘only’ a few months!”they point out angrily from the CEP.
However, in an attempt to justify itself, Personal argues that “the problem has arisen in the Community of Madrid due to the high volume of police officers who obtained staff“, which made it practically impossible to “do those duties before September.” Be that as it may, this union considers that it is nothing more than another example of the abandonment suffered by the agents by the Ministry of the Interior, which directs Fernando Grande-Marlaskaand the General Directorate of the Police.
“It is difficult to prove less empathy and sensitivity with those who have just entered this Body. With those who fulfill their obligation daily, joining the service and showing their faces on the street, in any District, Local Police Station or Brigade. They don’t wait months to do it. They do it from minute one“, they clarify.
And it is precisely because of this prolonged and reiterated abandonment over time that the Spanish Confederation of the Police maintains the collective conflict which he declared to the Interior last April. “Until these types of errors do not stop, until the police are no longer respecteds, until there is progress in dignified retirement, risky profession, salary equalization or physical and legal protection due to the increase in attacks, we will continue not attending Police Council meetings or trap negotiations,” they conclude. The opposite, in their opinion, would be “giving oxygen to those who despise our rights.” But they insist on that only the union of all the unions will make it possible to “put a foot down in the face of so much nonsense.”
