Formula 1 had not lived as a survival as the one played yesterday in the Silverstone circuit. The Great Britain Prize of 2025 became a tremendous challenge due to chaos caused by the uncertain forecast of rain, which was doubtful until the test began. Hours before starting, the sky left the track completely soaked and the teams went out to the race without being clear about the information sent by the radars. Or the one they reflected was not as precise as on previous occasions.
Everything went from because the asphalt was very wet at the time of the exit, but when the pilots completed the heating return some decided not to take the exit from the grill, pass through boxes and put dry tires. There were only two really wet curves in front of the rest that most or less allowed this kind of wheel. It was the bet of pilots like Leclerc and Russell … but the play came out very badly, because shortly after something else raised. Verstappen did not fail in the exit and only Piastri was able to follow his rhythm. However, yellow flags, virtual neutralizations and safety car caused the classification order to be chaos.

Among those above there was more conservatism, but those who had nothing to lose took risks. Among those who launched the currency in the air were Stroll and Hulkenberg. They went through boxes in the precise moments, yes, with a touch of very large fortune. Chaos was so great that no one for sure knew well what he was doing.

The key moment of the race came in one of the neutralizations. Piastri already sent and, even under neutralization, gave a great brake that caused Verstappen to dodge him. Something that was not justified and that the FIA understood as a dangerous maneuver that cost 10 seconds of sanction to the Australian pilot. A mistake too big for someone who is fighting for the title. In that same started that of Red Bull trumpered, he lost several positions and that was when the time of Norris came, that until that moment he had not been able to enter the rhythm of his rivals. Piastri tried to neutralize the disadvantage, but it was impossible. When there was no more remedy to go through boxes to place the dry tires, he first had to meet the sanction of 10 seconds and then his mechanics could replace the wheels. Upon returning to the track, the distance with Norris was six seconds that became four. But a great posterior scare and the fact of thinking that it was better to secure second place on such a delicate track caused the race to end there.
The most impressive thing about the race was the third position of Nico Hulkenberg with the Sauber, which can be one of the worst teams of the grid, but that in the last races has evolved incredibly. They bet, risked and the German was able to maintain third place despite Stroll and Hamilton’s pressures. Behind were Verstappen, Gasly, Stroll and Albon. The ninth place was for Fernando Alonso, who took the worst part of Aston Martin’s track engineering team against the tremendous successes of those who work with Stroll, which ended in front of the Asturian.
