Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, the best camera arrives in Spain

DxOMark is the most consistent technical standard currently available when comparing cameras and phones. Obviously it is not the absolute truth, but the fact that its data is objective and replicable is what gives it reliability. Well according to them, In the ranking of the 5 best cameras (so far) there is only one brand that repeats: Huawei. There we can see Apple, Oppo, Google and Vivo, but in first place and fifth are the Pura 80 Ultra and the Pura 70 Ultra respectively.

And now, after several months of waiting, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra lands in Spain as a declaration of intent: it not only wants to compete in the high-end, but also redefine what we understand by “photographic phone.” And it does so with clear weapons: a sophisticated camera system, extreme zoom, generous battery and performance designed for the demanding.

On the back of the Pura 80 Ultra is a camera array that stands out even in a megapixel-saturated market. Its 50 MP main camera with 1-inch sensor, f/1.6-4.0 aperture and optical stabilization it’s the basis of a light capture that, on paper, seems designed to shine in low light.

Added to this is a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and the icing on the cake: its dual telephoto module: one with 3.7× optical zoom and another with 9.4× optical zoom, sharing the sensor through a mobile prism. According to Huawei, The digital zoom can reach up to 100×, a figure that illustrates the photographic ambition of this mobile. Power and quality in a lens.

But behind that camera there is muscle: the Pura 80 Ultra has up to 16 GB of RAM and storage that reaches 1 TB. Its 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and maximum brightness close to 3,000 nits ensures the viewing experience lives up to your camera. It is a phone designed not to give up easily: edit video, capture in high resolution, keep several apps open… all without blinking.

In terms of autonomy, Huawei is betting big: the Pura 80 Ultra incorporates a battery of 5,170 mAh along with 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging. In practice, this translates into minutes of charging for hours of use, and added peace of mind when the day lengthens or we are intensive users.

One of the aspects that continues to generate questions in Huawei ecosystem is compatibility with Google services. The (very) good news is that between the improvements in the HMS environment, the expansion of the app catalog and the use of Aurora Store (a “mirror store” of the Google Play Store) it is very easy to download any application linked to Google or Android without noticing any type of incompatibility, delay or problem.

Huawei demonstrates with this model that, despite global restrictions, it is still capable of innovating and impressing. Its arrival in the Spanish market means that the brand is once again committed to bringing the most advanced, and for the user, represents a clear option if camera, zoom and battery are priorities.

As in other recent Huawei models, the Pura 80 Ultra comes with a very elaborate layer of artificial intelligence which allows you to “play” with your mobile in a more intuitive way: scroll with your hand through different pages or take a screenshot simply by making a fist.

It also comes with an Emoji Crush option: this is a setting that makes these pictograms react to movement and gaze. No, The Pura 80 Ultra is not just another “pretty camera”.
