A system update never usually has huge changes, much less new functions, they usually only bring minor changes.
There are devices that update themselves but in others you have to be aware of it so as not to be left behind, although it is voluntary, Not updating your mobile is a risk that can cause lower device performance and incompatibility with new applications and services.
However, a new feature is now rolling out to Android devices that brings with it some additional changes.
What changes does it bring for my mobile?
Before this update, summarizing a web page with artificial intelligence (AI) was a somewhat cumbersome process. You had to copy the address (URL) of the article, open the AI application and paste the link to generate a summary. It was a functional method, but not practical for quick searches or when you just wanted an idea of the general content.
Now, with the new function, everything is easier. According to Android Police, just press and hold the side button on your phone, the same one you use to turn it on or off, and from the menu that appears you can activate the resume option. Of course, you have to use Google Chrome, since Google’s Gemini AI can only analyze the content if you browse with that same browser.
The new “Summarize Page” button allows you to extract the most relevant information from articles, Wikipedia entries or Google search results. Additionally, from the Gemini app, another AI, you can ask more questions about the summarized text or ask for recommendations for other related articles.
Is it available on all Android devices?
The function of the new update is for mobile phones, not for another device, even if it is Android. However, according to several reports, Samsung smartphones are the first to receive the update, therefore, it may take a little longer for other manufacturers to implement the summary button.
In the future, iPhones (Apple) will also be able to use Gemini AI in this way, but the exact date is still unknown.
