Feijóo resorts to the economy to escape the “pincer” between PSOE and Vox

The Popular Party is more than clear that, either by chance or by chance, there is “a clamp” between the PSOE and Vox. The theory is that both formations work to achieve the same objective: weaken Alberto Núñez Feijóo. “They are coming for us,” exemplifies a powerful baron in conversation with LA RAZÓN. «The party of Santiago Abascal A complaint has been filed against Alfonso Fernández Mañueco for the fires in Castilla y León“But he has not done it against Óscar Puente for the train chaos, nor against Sara Aagesen for the blackout,” adds another person from the circle closest to the popular president.

To combat the attacks he receives from both sides, the president of the conservative party resorts to a crutch: the economy. And that Pedro Sanchez He does nothing but brag about the country’s progress: “It’s going like a motorcycle,” he said a long time ago. “Like a rocket,” he raised the ante later. But his rival refutes government triumphalism and, in recent days, he does not stop repeating a psalm: «In Spain it has to be worth working». And with Sánchez, he denounced last week, “it’s angry.”

In line with the Government’s latest mess over quotas for the self-employed – some 3.4 million workers – the PP has seen the perfect opportunity to put together a story that is much less flattering to the official one and, above all, launch a programmatic proposal with which to seduce the middle class. With the conviction that «the PSOE cannot penetrate» there when he has been leading the country since June 2018 and, in this time, he has been unable to fix structural problems such as housing and, furthermore, the quality of some public services has only worsened. The most paradigmatic case: the train. At the same time, Vox cannot raise the flag of “the management because it is not credible.”

As this newspaper advanced, now the PP’s priority is “the emotional rescue of the middle class”. With much more direct messages. No circumlocutions. And with liberal proposals, which aim to reduce the weight of the State to the detriment of companies. Yesterday, Núñez Feijóo received a loud ovation from those attending the National Family Business Congress after giving a speech that focused solely and exclusively on the economy. There he spoke of a “problem of disaffection” of society with working life. For six reasons: «The fiscal pressure that suffocates the country, the feeling that we pay more and receive lessthe impunity that is encouraged by the Government, the distrust of the entrepreneur, the bureaucracy and interventionism.

Although corruption contaminates everything and the PP does not intend to stop practicing daily and relentless opposition to Sánchez with all the arsenal of weapons (political, judicial and social) at its disposal, the leadership of the party considers that it is vitally important to put together a good country program that generates hope and illusion. Exactly the two characteristics that are most missing today from a political class that generates more boredom than anything else, due to the endless pursuit of scandals and a noise that deafens any attempt at conversation in public life. Hence, the programmatic agenda has become the main axis.
