Design, performance and price, these are the features of Nothing’s latest gadgets

If there is a brand that has decided to take the design and performance baton from Apple (a baton that the brand has abandoned, especially in terms of design), it is Nothing. And it has done so at a more than competitive price. Now, CMF, Nothing’s sub-brand, has presented three new devices: CMF Phone 1, CMF Watch Pro 2 and CMF Buds Pro 2. And between the three of them they add up to the characteristics that interest consumers: performance, price and design. Let’s take it step by step.

CMF Phone 1 features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor, 256GB of storage (expandable to 2TB) and 16GB of RAM. A 5,000 mAh battery (supposedly up to 2 days of use without recharging) and a very interesting camera system: a 50MP Sony rear camera and another dedicated portrait lens for a more precise bokeh effect. On the front of the phone there is a 16MP selfie camera. All of this in the “wrapper” of a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz.

But what really catches the eye is the design: the phone includes a small key that allows you to change the casings and adapt them to different accessories: a stand, an option to wear it hanging and another to place a small wallet with documents and cards. And all in different colors. The whole set looks very good, both in colors and functionality. All this for a launch offer price of €199.

Then comes the CMF Watch Pro 2, which combines a striking interchangeable bezel design with excellent performance. It has a 1.32-inch always-on AMOLED display with over 100 watch faces available. Recognizes more than 120 sports modes and 5 sports modalities automaticallyIt also allows you to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and stress levels 24 hours a day. It allows you to make calls via Bluetooth, control music and have smart functions such as receiving notifications, controlling the camera remotely and checking the weather. It has IP68 water and dust resistance and a battery life of up to 11 days. Its price? €69.

Finally, the headphones CMF Buds Pro 2. With dual driver and Hybrid active noise cancellation of up to 50 dB, thanks in part to the work of its six microphones. But collaboration in noise cancellation is not the only function of the microphones: they detect external sound (voices, wind, etc.) during calls and cancel it out so that the voice can be heard much better.

They have a 43-hour battery life and a 10-minute quick charge that allows for 7 hours of playback. The surprise? Their case includes the first customizable smart rotary knob system. If we turn it we can control the volume and playback, but if we press it we control noise cancellation, the voice assistant (it has integrated ChatGPT), switch to a low latency mode or mute the microphone during meetings. But all of these with configurable options through the Nothing X app. Its price is € 59.
