Curious mistake! AI confuses Leo XIV and responds to him as if he were still Pope Francis

Madrid – Leo XIV He joked this Monday that before leaving for the trip to Spain, he contacted the artificial intelligence (AI) to ask what the pope should say to the Spanish bishops, and the algorithm responded as if Francis were still the supreme pontiff, and he had to correct it.

This is how Yago de la Cierva, organizer of Pope Leo XIV’s trip to Spain, told it in statements to the media after the meal that the Spanish bishops had with the Holy Father on the third day of his visit to Madrid.

De la Cierva related that before giving them his blessing, Leo XIV made a joke and said that, before leaving on a trip, He had asked the AI “what the Pope should say to the Spanish bishops”, and the one known as artificial intelligence responded: “Pope Francis would say…”.

Then, Leo XIV told him: “I think there is another pope.” After this correction, the AI replied: “Ah, that’s right, now it’s Pope Leo.”

After this joke, De la Cierva pointed out, the pontiff told the bishops that they have another algorithm. “And that other algorithm leads us to love people, to accompany people, to become servants of the word,” he concluded.
