The arrival of an Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) will cause intense rains and adverse conditions on the Mediterranean coast between today, Thursday and tomorrow, Friday. Accumulations of up to 20 liters per square meter are expected in one hour, especially in the Valencian Community, which has activated the yellow alert.
The showers, accompanied by storms and possible small hail, will mainly affect the south of Valencia and the north of Alicante. TOFurthermore, snowfall could accumulate thicknesses of up to 10 cm above 900-1,000 meters in the northern interior of Castellón, while in the pre-Pyrenees of Barcelona and Girona up to 5 cm of snow is expected.
The maritime storm will complicate the situation with winds of up to 60 km/h and waves of 3 to 4 meters on the coasts of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Murcia and the Valencian Community.
