SpaceX suspends launch of larger version of Starship at the last minute

SpaceX was less than half a minute Thursday from launching a newer, larger version of its Starship rocket, but a series of problems forced the company to pause the countdown.

The 407-foot-tall rocket was ready to begin a journey that would take it into space and to the other end of the planet. But problems arose with the new platform at Starbase, near the border with Mexicoand the company ran out of time.

The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musklater explained that The hydraulic pin holding the launch tower arm in place did not retract. If that problem can be solved quickly, then another launch attempt will be made on Friday, he stressed.

The launch attempt came a day after Musk announced that his rocket company will go public on the bag.
