He PSOE crosses a serious internal crisis after filtration of a report of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, in which the former Secretary of Organization, Santos Cerdán, is linked to the so -called ‘Koldo Case’. According to the document, Cerdán would be related to alleged illegal commissions that would amount to about 620,000 euros.

Last Thursday, after the dissemination of the report, Santos Cerdán presented his resignation as “number three” of the party and communicated his decision to resign the deputy minutes. This resignation was formalized yesterday, the day he also requested his decline as a PSOE militant, thus completing his departure from the political sphere.

In this context, the PSOE celebrated on Monday the first meeting of its Federal Executive Commission since the scandal broke out. After five hours of deliberations at the Ferraz headquarters, the president of the Government and general secretary of the party, Pedro Sánchez, appeared before the media to announce new measures aimed at eradicating corruption within the formation.
