The Spanish Confederation of Medical Unions (CESM) and the Andalusian Medical Union (SMA) have summoned a national strike day today, June 13, as a protest due to the lack of response from the Ministry of Health to its main labor demands.
The unions denounce that The new draft of the Marco Statute aims. After weeks of unsuccessful negotiations and a last meeting failed on June 2, the strike committee has decided to maintain the call and has called a massive mobilization against the Ministry of Health.
The protest comes after the unanimous rejection of the medical group to the government’s proposal, which allows Days of up to 70 hours per week without adequate compensation, without mandatory breaks and without remuneration guarantees for overtime.
