Borrasca Olivier will leave this Spanish provinces and the autonomous city of Melilla for rain, storms, waves and wind on a day in a day in which the worst part will take it Andalusia, where Almería and Granada will be in orange warning by waves, according to the prediction of the State Meteorology Agency (Aemet).
Specifically, Andalusia has activated the orange alert for waves of up to 7 meters in Almeria, in addition to intense winds and storms, to which they are added, at a yellow level, due to heavy rains, Asturias, both Castillas, Extremadura, Galicia and the Autonomous City of Melilla, the latter by bad sea.
The approach of Borrasca Olivier will leave today in Almería Viento del Este and Northeast of 60 to 75 km/h (Force 8), which can cause waves of up to 7 meters. On the Granada coast, also in Andalusia, the East wind will reach 50 to 70 km/h (force 7 to 8), mainly inside sea, and waves of 3 to 4 meters.
The rains will be intense at points of the west peninsular; 15 liters will be collected per square meter in one hour in much of Cáceres (Extremadura) as in southern Ávila (Castilla and Léon); There will be storms that can occasionally be accompanied by hail. The accumulations will reach 15 liters per square meter also in points of the province of Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha) and in the Asturian Southwestern. In the case of Galicia, up to 20 liters per square meter will be reached inside A Coruña and in the center and mountain of Lugo.
