Help entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs, consolidate its proposals for positive impact on the environmentis the main objective of the fourth edition of Connecting Energy, a business incubation program, launched by Naturgy, to promote entrepreneurship in the energy sector with a focus on sustainable innovation and aimed at both strengthening the production model, to promote changes that contribute to accelerating the energy transition, in areas such as efficiency and responsible consumption, renewable gases, sustainable mobility or the circular economy and waste management, among others.
In this fourth edition, there are twelve startups selected to over the next six months they can develop their ideas with the support of Naturgy’s training programs and the help of its experts, since the program mainly offers mentoring and advice adapted to the needs of each entrepreneur to help them develop a new business plan, define their digital strategy and give them the boost they need to achieve their goals.
Specifically, the projects they are going to work on in the coming months are oriented to the search for solutions of very different kinds ranging from hydrogen storage and generation; the manufacture of home automation devices to reduce the water and energy footprint in buildings; the use of Artificial Intelligence to optimize energy consumption or to prevent the extinguishing of fires in solar parks, through the development of supercapacitors, for the storage of energy, from waste plant biomass, industrial hemp or Biogas optimization.
The initiatives selected in this edition stand out for their variety and the high level of demand when it comes to providing innovative and sustainable solutions in the field of energy.
In the three previous calls for the Connecting Energy program, Naturgy has contributed to promoting projects of a very diverse nature, from technologies linked to efficiency in operations to sustainable mobility solutions.
The platform Connecting Energy has already incubated more than 30 startupsunder the supervision of a team made up of almost 50 mentors and specialists with experience in all areas of the energy sector value chain, which has facilitated the task of entrepreneurs when prototyping, developing and consolidating proposals that impact positively in caring for the environment.
