You only need these two keys in Windows to type whatever you want

Since 1995, when the Windows key (read the one with the small square boxes) arrived on computer keyboards, it has become a treasure chest, or rather, a treasure chest, that is rarely explored. If you use it with the letter L, the computer is locked, with the M, all windows are minimized, and there are more than 60 options. But there is one that is especially interesting: which allows us to perform voice dictations.

This option, available in Windows 10 and 11, uses built-in speech recognition, so You don’t need to download or install anything to use it.However, it requires Internet access.

You need to go to Settings to activate the option.JSJS

There are many reasons why you might use a dictation tool: poor typing skills, preference for voice, it’s easier to think out loud… To use voice recognition, you first need to enable online voice recognition. This can be done by opening Settings > Privacy > Speech and enabling Online Voice Recognition. Then, Just press the Windows key and H when we start talkingWindows is smart enough to handle certain tasks automatically, like capitalizing the first word of a sentence. You can then dictate punctuation and start a new paragraph by saying “period,” “comma,” “new line,” “new paragraph,” or whatever other action we need.

If we pause for a few seconds, we may need to reselect the dictation icon in the toolbar. Works in NotePad, WordPad, Microsoft Word or Mail. A headset can make a significant difference to the dictation experience: it helps with isolation and allows us to concentrate better. It is also good to be in a quiet, echo-free room.
