Use Google Earth to create videos that look like they were taken with a drone

Since its birth in June 2001, Google Earth has become one of the most sought-after sites by fans of cartography, exploration and satellite images. In short, it is a virtual 3D map of our planet that allows us to explore it as if we were flying over it. We can do it as if flying like an eagle (hundreds of meters high) or at an ant’s pace (close to the ground)And now, thanks to Google Earth Studio, it is possible to create videos of these flights very easily, as if it were a drone.

The orbit option allows us to simulate the flight of a drone.GoogleGoogle

To do this, you have to access the Google Earth Studio website, register with your Google account and explain what you will use the video for (just a formality). Then, you access the Create project option, select Orbit and the place you want to “film”. Once located, you must select the height, the turning radius, the target height and the initial direction. We do not recommend using figures at either extreme.to explore until achieving the desired effect. In general, the videos last less than a minute.

Once we have obtained the desired shot, we save it and that’s it. We can export to any social network or send it to our contactsDoes it look like a drone? The flight, the speed of the shots and the way it flows are very similar. Now, if we look at the video in detail, we see that it is made from 3D images and that “the life portrayed” is completely static: there is no movement of any kind, neither of people, animals, trees or the sea.
