The Air Nostrum company intends to introduce the “Airlander 10” aircraft model in the coming years

As reported this Tuesday by Aeronin, the technology company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) has formally announced the certification process for the “Airlander 10”, which they project can become the most efficient large aircraft in the world. The manufacturer has reached an agreement with the company Air Nostrum, which plans to introduce this type of vehicle in Spain.

It is, according to HAV, the first model of a new category of efficient aircraft that they plan to bring to the market in the coming years. The company also foresees the future introduction of electric motors in this aircraft model, which could guarantee a version without emissions by 2030.

The manufacturer claims that this vehicle could transport more than 90 passengersand defends that it will provide a unique service, with a spacious cabin and windows that go from the floor to the ceiling. It is estimated that it would have a payload of around ten tonsand a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles.

Furthermore, the “Airlander 10” would require a minimal structure, which would allow it to operate without having to resort to traditional airport equipment. It is a means of transport that works with a low noise volumewhich is an advantage for both passengers and the environment, by reducing the noise pollution.

The “Airlander 10” has become the first approval, by the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Kingdom (CAA-UK), of a project for a large aircraft developed in Great Britain since 1979, as reported by Aeroin .

The zeppelin in Spain

In principle, the Spanish company Air Nostrum Group will receive 10 aircraftonce these have exceeded the evidence and the certification necessary. They are designed for the transport of passengers in the tourism sector, promoting a move towards more sustainable travel. We intend to have them operational by 2026.

The general director of Air NostrumMiguel Ángel Falcon, indicated that for him it is a pleasure “this collaboration agreement between HAV and Air Nostrum”, and assures that it represents “one more line in our company's effort to explore varied and increasingly sustainable mobility formulas environmentally”.
