The high-impact storm Benjamín, the second high-impact storm of the season, is already beginning to be noticed in Galicia, but it will be tomorrow, Thursday, when it activates the red alert on the coast of Cantabria and the Basque Country. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), extreme risk is expected due to strong winds and sea storms that could leave waves of 8 meters.
Rubén del Campo, spokesperson for the AEMET, explained that maritime winds of up to 74 kilometers per hour are expected on the coast, and up to 88 kilometers per hour offshore, which could generate waves 7 to 8 meters high. “A lot of caution,” Del Campo has asked, given the impact of this storm named by the French meteorological service.
Galicia, the first affected

Partial improvement on Friday, but more rain on the weekend

The winds will be weaker and temperatures will rise in almost the entire country, especially in the south, with values above 30° in the south. In cities like Huelva, Córdoba, Seville or Granada, Málaga could even be around 32 to 34°.
