The terrorist group Hamas has freed all the living Hebrew hostages who had been in captivity for two years. The delivery process has been carried out in two batches. First, at 7:00 Spanish time, seven hostages of Israeli origin were released. Later, two hours later, the remaining thirteen were handed over to the International Red Cross, all of them men, in the Khan Younis camp.
In turn, the Palestinian armed group has made it official through a statement that it is willing to continue with what was agreed as long as “the Zionist party also fulfills its part.”
“The release of our heroic prisoners is the result of the strength of the people of the Gaza Strip and the children of the resistance,” they expressed.
The exchange is key to a ceasefire in devastated Gaza after two years of war. While major questions remain about the future of Hamas and Gaza, the exchange of hostages and prisoners will mark a key step in ending the deadliest war in history between Israel and the terrorist group.
US President Donald Trump will arrive in the region along with other leaders to sign the US-proposed deal and post-war plans.
