With 8 days of vacation, stress disappears
The family holidays of one month, or even two, in July and August are a long way off. Current financial needs and uncertain incomes mean that holiday periods are being drastically shortened. Moreover, the ideal length of a holiday to overcome stress is only 8 days, according to various scientific studies. Once the dates have been chosen, it is necessary to plan the rest, not leave the holiday to chance. Sun tourism prevents heart disease and reduces the risk of serious tumours, while holidays in the mountains bring us closer to the ideal weight. To avoid post-holiday syndrome, there is nothing better than looking at the happy, educational or mischievous photos of our holidays.
When to eat fruit and which ones are essential?
Since fruits are a source of vitamins, minerals and fibre, we should eat them daily, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are also advisable between meals, mid-morning and as a snack. Pieces of fruit should be eaten whole, not in juice, even if they are “natural”. The essential “superfruits” are: bananas, lemons, blueberries, apples and açai berries, which are rich in antioxidants and omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids that stimulate sexual activity.
Deodorants without triclosan
Triclosan is an antibacterial agent that was widely used in personal hygiene products and is banned in the USA and not recommended in the EU. Triclosan (keep an eye on the products on display on the shelves…) can be found in some shower gels, shampoos and toothpastes, although recently – thanks to pressure from responsible consumer organisations – it has been restricted to toothpastes. The alternative to triclosan is natural preservatives such as Sodium Anisate and Sodium Levulinate; those of microbial origin such as those containing the Leuconostoc bacteria, and essential oils such as rosemary.
