The non-profit organization Science Puerto Rico (CienciaPR) announced the launch of the publication “Siembra tu Semilla de Triunfo”, with the aim of inspiring a new generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEMin English).
The doctors Greetchen Díaz Muñoz, Liz Hernandez Matias and Abniel Machín de Jesúsco-authors of the book, combine educational content and hands-on exercises based on the program’s seventh through ninth grade students’ curriculum. Seeds of Triumphwhich is led by CienciaPR and which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Through a press release, it was reported that Each of the text’s 10 chapters is designed so that readers can become familiar with the STEM world, meet role models, and develop leadership skills.. Through its 128 pages, the book contains activities in which young people can explore their interests in disciplines and learn about various professional careers. Also, through the activities, they will be able to learn to identify their emotions, as well as communicate and develop projects in their communities, important skills to grow as leaders.

As you discover your superpowers, there will be no limits to what you can imagine and achieve”said Díaz Muñoz, founder of Semillas de Triunfo and executive director of CienciaPR.
The book contains access to various resources developed by CienciaPR, such as online talks for occupational exploration and the Latinas in STEM Collection. Likewise, young people will be inspired by the voices and experiences of 40 Semillas de Triunfo alumni, who share how they discovered their passion for science, faced challenges with determination, and used their knowledge to generate changes in their communities. Other program alumni express their motivations in this post through original STEM-related art.
The book is currently available through amazon and, soon, it will be available in bookstores and other points of sale.
