Capcom has shown the living world of 'Monster Hunter Wilds' with the first in-depth look at the long-awaited RPG of action. The trailer travels through an untamed landscape filled with new monsters adapted to the ever-changing conditions of their wild habitat. The entertainment house has also revealed the special bonus items that players who return to the world of 'Monster Hunter: World' will be able to obtain when 'Wilds' premieres in 2025 for PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S and in PC format through Steam.
Monster Hunter Wilds
For this experience, players join the ranks of a special team of the Investigation Commission of the Forbidden Lands. With full dubbing for the first time in the series, the hunter will venture into the unknown with his companions, including Alma, the guild's designated trainer, his partner Palico, and a mysterious boy. The areas that will host the adventure also propose multidimensional biomes that can transform in unexpected ways. The first setting that is revealed is the Windward Plains, a vast region that encompasses harsh deserts, twisted rock formations and rolling grasslands teeming with life.
These immersive ecosystems are settlements of wildlife acclimatized to their environmentincluding smaller monsters like Dalthydona herbivorous wyvern that migrates seasonally and Ceratonoth, which relies on males to protect the herd from storms with well-developed dorsal horns that serve as lightning rods. Of course, great monsters also roam the Windward Plains, including Doshaguma. Although huge and territorial, these fanged beasts are seen stalking the plains in aggressive packs. Meanwhile, the amphibian Chatacabra It will use its environment and its adhesive saliva to become an even stronger adversary by armoring its body with natural materials, such as ore.
Evolving gameplay
To help you overcome the challenges that await in 'Wilds, the company ensures that the gameplay of the series has evolved with an arsenal of new features and promises a smooth flow between story sequences and gameplay without interruptions. To navigate the vast environments of this world, the game introduces Seikrets, a new type of mount. These agile creatures allow you to perform actions on the fly, such as sharpening weapons, gathering materials, and operating the sling. You can also switch to a secondary weapon with your Seikret, allowing hunting parties to adapt to changing field conditions without having to return to base.
All 14 weapon types from the series return and also appear to have evolved to include new actions. Additionally, the game introduces completely new systems, such as Focus mode, which offers more precise control when aiming, protecting and attacking monsters' weak points. The new slingshot system also offers additional abilities, such as contextual actions and the ability to collect items from a distance.
