Goal launched this Tuesday the first image generation model created by its division Superintelligence Labs. Muse Image now promotes the creation of images in Meta AI, instagram and WhatsAppand soon it will also do so in Facebook and Messengeras explained by the company. The new model is part of the growing family of AI models Muse which replaces the line Calls of Goal.
Alexander Wanghired by Meta last year to run Superintelligence Labs, has stated in Threads that Muse Image is ‘agent’. That is, it works with its great Muse Spark language model ‘to reason about your prompt, search the web and plan before generating’. Meta also plans to launch a model, Muse Videowhich Wang claims is ‘competitive in prompt adherence, visual fidelity, and temporal consistency.’
Muse Image has just begun its rollout in the United States and a limited number of countries. Meta has not confirmed its availability in Spain for nowalthough it assures that it will reach more markets soon.
Muse Image integration with Instagram
Muse Image arrives with deep integration into Instagram which is likely to affect its deployment in Europe, given the strict legislation on AI. Now, Public profiles are automatically included as material for generating AI images.
According to Meta, users can mention with @ other Instagram accounts in Muse Image prompts, allowing the AI model to incorporate its appearance into the result. Meta ensures that ‘tagging a username allows Meta AI to use public photos to create an image’although it clarifies that users can control how other people reuse their content with AI.
The Instagram help center explains this in more detail. If the account is public and the default settings are kept, ‘People could create content with your Instagram content using AI features in Meta’. Furthermore, Meta It won’t inform you when it happens either.. ‘You will not receive a notification about content created using AI features in Meta,’ the help page notes.
How to prevent other users from using your public Instagram images with Muse Image
If you don’t want Meta to generate AI images from your Instagram posts, You don’t need to make your account private.but you will have to change a setting in the application that is not yet available in Spain.
You will have to enter Instagram, open your profile and tap the three lines icon that appears at the top right. Afterwards, you must go down to the section ‘Share and reuse’. There should appear an option called ‘Allow people to use your content on Instagram and with AI features in Meta’with two separate switches, one for posts and one for Reels.
