A atlantic storm will take this weekend a unpleasant and wintery weather in many areas of Spain, with widespread rains; snow not only in the mountains, but also low levels of about 600 meters; strong gusts of 90 km/h and waves of nearly seven meters in Galicia, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Although the wind will not be the most adverse factor, it will also cause bad sea conditions and will blow with intensity, increasing the feeling of unpleasant weather. All this, accompanied by a drop in temperatures which will leave a cold atmosphere for the time of year.
A total of 31 provinces spread across 14 autonomous communities – these, all except the Canary Islands, the Valencian Community and the Basque Country – are under warning this Friday due to adverse phenomena such as snow, rain, wind or rough seas. There is an orange warning – significant risk – for snowfall of at least 20 centimeters in the Pyrenees of Huesca and for waves of six to seven meters in A Coruña and Pontevedra.
