Hezbollah attacks Israeli military units with around twenty missiles
The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah has launched around twenty projectiles against Israeli military positions in the early hours of Tuesday, in response to the recent bombings of the Israeli Army which caused about 500 dead. Among the targets attacked by Hezbollah are the Amos basethe main logistics hub in northern Israel; a explosives factory in Zichron, 60 kilometers from the border; Ramat David Air Base; and the Megiddo Military Airportaccording to the Lebanese channel Al Manar.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the launch of at least 20 shells from Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted, while others hit unpopulated areas. This episode marks an escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, in a context of growing violence in the region.
