When you ask a question or query to the Meta AI, the voice of Kylie Jenner will respond to all the people who use the new stylized smart sunglasses launched in collaboration with Meta and the Californian businesswoman.
With an oval design, the Meta Starfire by Kylie glasses combine style with all the technological attributes of previous editions of smart glasses. To give a personal touch to the young woman, the design includes a small diamond on the right lens, as a “nod to her characteristic style.”
On the day of the collaboration’s launch, in New York City, Kylie used the camera in her glasses to document her day, from an outfit check to a bike ride with her friend Harry Hudson.
“I love talking to myself”said the model, when she asked about the weather in her glasses and she answered herself.
For the event, she also recorded her outfit in front of a mirror. Jenner wore a vintage Gucci dress. The nude halter design was introduced in the fall 1999 collection, when Tom Ford He was in charge of the Italian fashion house.
The dress was acquired by the stylists Alexandra Rose and Mackenzie Grandquistfrom the exclusive designer vintage clothing store Vintage TABin Los Angeles. Jenner has joined other celebrities who have opted for archival fashion from big fashion houses, as she did Jennifer López for the launch of her most recent leading role, with an Atelier Versace from 2004.
Different models, the same technology
The glasses, which start at $399, are available in black and tortoiseshell frames, as well as being able to create prescription eyeglasses.
Kylie’s voice, apart from answering questions, will be able to translate live and play music that combines with what you are seeing. Also, people will be able to ask Jenner to take photos or videos with the camera that is included in the glasses.
As in previous models, the glasses have the action button, which can be customized to perform certain actions such as making calls or playing some type of music.
For comfort, the nose pads have three sizes to adjust depending on the person using them.
