Air and land media fight this Thursday a forest fire that has been declared in the municipality of Méntrida (Toledo), whose smoke and ash have reached Madrid capital.
According to the Forest Fire Information System of the Ministry of Sustainable Development (FIDIAS) consulted by EFE, the Méntrida fire has been detected at 15:02 hours by a fixed guard and also the prevention and extinguishing service of forest fires of Castilla-La Mancha has passed to the level 1 operational situation, since the smoke of the fire can make the visibility of the nearby roads difficult.
This dense smoke has forced to confine Calypo Fado urbanization, belonging to the town of Casarrubios del Monte, and is visible even from the towns of the southwest Madrid, according to neighbors.
