The State Meteorological Agency has drawn a weather map for this Saturday, July 11, in which several adverse phenomena coincide almost simultaneously. The heat will once again be the main protagonist, with the thermometers shot above 35 degrees in the vast majority of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
The forecasts place the highest values, up to 38 degreesin points of the Southern plateau, eastern Andalusia, the Ebro valley, the eastern Cantabrian sea, Miño and Mallorca. To this daytime oven will be added a night that in many areas will be tropicalbecause the minimums will not drop below 20 degrees on the Mediterranean coaststhe northeast quadrant, the southeast and the southern plateau, a scenario that will hardly provide relief for night rest.
The behavior of temperatures It will not be homogeneous. While the archipelagos, the Mediterranean coasts, Extremadura and western Andalusia will register slight decreases, in the rest of the territory the thermometers will rise. This rise will be notable in western Galicia and eastern Cantabria. The minimalfor their part, will hardly vary, although decreases in the northeast of the peninsula and increases in the northwest will predominate.

Torrential showers and hail in the northern half

South and northeast wind on the coast

On the coasts of the southern peninsula it will blow west moderatewhile on the coasts of Galicia, the Cantabrian Sea, the eastern façade and the Balearic Islands, the northeast will prevail. In the other areas, the south wind will dominate, weak during the first hours but increasing to moderate in the afternoon in large areas. In Canary Islands The wind will be moderate from the north.
The superposition of all these factors (stifling heat, tropical nights, storms with hail and changing wind) constitutes a Saturday of high meteorological risk in practically the entire country, in which it is recommended exercise extreme caution, especially in areas where stormy showers can break in after a day of intense heat.
