Besides, Snapshots capture some of the most crucial moments of the seasonallowing you to easily step in and take control of a team in a selection of European leagues. While no one can be sure what stories will be created at the World Game this year, you can expect Snapshots to reflect events such as manager sackings, big player transfers, surprising unbeaten streaks and clubs turning around their form after a poor start.
Live Start Points and Snapshots will be released in late 2024, and you’ll be able to keep checking back throughout the season for new Snapshots and game days right up until the end. Live Start Points and Snapshots will also be available in Player Career, where users can take on real-world situations – either as real players or as Avatars they’ve created themselves – and see how they can impact the future.
FC IQ
While you may have already heard of FC IQ in ‘FC 25’, this time we’re talking about Tactical Presets – an expansion of the previous tactical vision system. Each Preset is defined by a set of Key Roles that cover the pitch, along with a specific combination of playmaking and defending approach. All are compatible with the available formations, with the formation slightly impacting the Preset requirements. For example, the Tiki Taka requires a Central Midfielder to take on the role of a Delayed Defensive Midfielder, but if your formation doesn’t have a Central Midfielder, that role can be taken on by a Central Defensive Midfielder.
The update of Tactical Presets and the introduction of Player Roles give new meaning to coaching staff. In addition to what they were already doing (attribute boosts), staff now also have the ability to increase the Role Awareness of players occupying key roles on the pitch by one level. For this to happen, the manager’s Tactical Awareness must be higher than said player’s Natural Role Rating and the player must be able to play in that position in the first place.
Most of Formations require a Key Player Role per departmentbut they allow for more, opening up new opportunities and dilemmas for managers. For example, as explained above, only one Delayed Playmaker in midfield is needed to apply Tiki Taka. Hiring a Tiki Taka expert in the midfield department means you can upgrade any Midfielder who is not already a Delayed Playmaker++. So each manager can decide, depending on the natural abilities of the squad and the opposition, whether to play more freely and with more effective playmakers in midfield, or more safely by assigning a Holding role as well. In addition, the Squad Hub and Transfer Hub are also updated to display information about Player Roles.
Development Plans 2.0
Development Plans are now based on Player Roles and include the potential for Role Growth, with each Role having its own Development Plan that focuses on a set of Attributes and skills. Each player’s Role Rating determines the potential for Key Attributes for that Role. Over time, if a player is steadily improving in the Attributes that are key to a Role, there is a chance that a Role Rating boost will trigger. When this occurs, the potential for those Attributes increases, unlocking a new stage of growth. Additionally, Development Plans display useful contextual information, such as factors that influence growth or the stage of development each player is in, whether it be Growth, Peak, or Retirement.
Press Conferences and Morale Sweet Spot
‘FC 25’ promises to evolve the moral system from a “the more the merrier” approach to a “sweet spot” system. This means that if players’ morale goes above a certain level, instead of being very happy, they become complacent. In this state, their Mental Attributes are reduced rather than increased. The ideal range for morale, also known as “the sweet spot”, to keep a player very happy varies, with some players being more calm and professional than others. Press Conferences have also been revised so that the questions asked are now based on tactical decisions, opponent setup and match statistics.
Youth Academy
The scouting capabilities of the Youth Academy will offer an expansive selection of over 160 countries to explore. This range of locations opens the door to discovering diverse players with unique playing styles and backgrounds, with the aim of enriching your team’s potential. You can now scout up to four specific positions, allowing you to focus on areas that need reinforcement now or in the future.
It is also presented A new way to interact with the Youth Academy through Rush matches in Manager Career. 5v5 matches can be played with youth players (with an AI-controlled goalkeeper), offering additional control over the development of your future stars.
Rush matches in Manager Career They are organized as bimonthly tournamentsand winning these competitions can provide a significant boost to the development of your Youth Players, accelerating their growth and helping them reach their full potential more quickly. And finally, Youth Players will now look younger and you will be able to watch them grow physically during their development in the Youth Academy.
Women’s Football in Manager Career Mode
For the first time in the football saga you will be able to manage some of the best women’s teams from the European leagues and the NWSL. It will feature 5 licensed leagues: the Barclays Women’s Super League, the Arkema Première Ligue, the National Women’s Soccer League, the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga and Liga F. In addition, the Women’s Champions League competition will also be available to play.
Manager Career matches in women’s football will feature all the features you’d expect from a Manager Career, along with authentic managers, financial models, contracts and pay structures that reflect the rapid growth of women’s football. Plus, you’ll be able to move between men’s and women’s leagues within the same career and experience both sides of the game.
Personalization
For this season, the team has focused on a series of configurations that will allow for better control over how you simulate your gaming experience and AI behaviour. For example, you can now choose from a number of predetermined presets fine-tuned for specific situations and moments in the game. Players can toggle between a Realistic setting, which locks the in-game sliders to values closer to real football, and a Classic setting. Of course, a Custom setting is also available, where you can fine-tune controls and values for both the AI and your own team.
For players who really want a challenge, they can increase the difficulty of their games by making Transfer negotiations are made more stringentsetting harsh expectations from management, slowing down recovery rates from training plans, creating a transfer embargo, and playing a simulation style of game. Players looking for a more relaxed experience can create a game where a large financial acquisition has occurred, where players cannot be fired, there is no scouting, or where players develop more quickly.
