“Digital literacy” in Castilla y León does not rest in summer

Thus, through the Cyl Digital program, the regional executive will develop a Wide training programming in digital competences During August, with the aim of reducing the digital divide and ensuring that technological training reaches the entire population, especially in rural areas.

In total, they will be carried out 178 face -to -face, open formative actions to the participation of any person, regardless of their age, level of knowledge or place of residence.

More than half of the August program will take place in rural municipalities, in collaboration with the network of 332 associated rural centers, which will host 90 training activities distributed throughout the nine provinces of the community.

The remaining 88 activities will take place in the Cyl Digital spaces of the provincial capitals, attending to the growing urban demand for technological training.

The Ministry of Mobility and Digital Transformation is committed to digital training as a fundamental pillar for social and territorial cohesion, reason that in August the Cyl Digital Free Training Program in digital competences continues to bring these opportunities closer to all corners of Castilla y León ”.

The Digital Cyl program maintains the certification of Tucerticel digital competences, with 23 calls (10 basic level and 13 intermediate level) that allow officially accrediting the knowledge acquired, promoting employability and personal development.

A national reference

With more than 130,000 people formed and 68,000 online participants, Cyl Digital is consolidated as a reference program in Spain in public digital literacy policies, demonstrating that the reduction of the digital gap is only effective when it is built from the proximity, equity and territory.

Among the main novelties of this year, the deployment of five mobile classrooms that are touring the community stands out approaching digital training where you need most. These didactic units transform any space into a equipped technological classroom, facilitating direct access to digital training.

The Workshops ‘Demo Days’with a practical and thematic approach. Last two hours, they address key aspects such as cybersecurity, digital home or practical use of artificial intelligence.
