Cibervoluntarios Foundation presents its free training programs at SIMO 2025 to promote young digital talent YoConecto and RetoHacker

Cibervoluntarios Foundation landed this Tuesday at the International Educational Technology and Innovation Exhibition, SIMO Educación, which is celebrating its 11th edition from October 28 to October 30 to promote responsible and safe technology training among young people through its free workshops. During these three days, the pioneering organization in technological volunteering is in the Stand 5C09 of Pavilion 5 of IFEMA Madridwhere interested parties can obtain information or sign up for free programs and participate in games.

Likewise, visitors can become ethical hackers who have to restore systems compromised by a simulated cyber attack and escape before time runs out in an escape room to present RetoHacker.

RetoHacker, a program of free courses for young people between 16 and 24 years old, in which the next generation of cybersecurity experts is trained through interactive dynamics. It is funded by the scholarship awarded by Kyndryl Foundation, the philanthropic area of Kyndryl, the world’s largest technology infrastructure services company.

Hand in hand with the YoConecto workshops, the Fundación Cibervoluntarios stand has five themed minigames employability, digital resume, online learning, digital marketing and content creation with AI. All of them are key learnings that can be acquired in the free face-to-face courses with the aim that all people can function with confidence and security in the digital world and take advantage of the use of technological tools to improve their lives and their opportunities for employment, education, entrepreneurship and social participation.

IConnect is an initiative promoted by Fundación Cibervoluntarios, which is part of the Generation D initiative promoted by Red.es, Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, and is financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, through the Next Generation funds of the European Union.

Visitors to the booth also learn to identify and debunk hoaxes in the game “Hunt the fake”where they have to face an interactive social network interface and recognize false information through source verification and pattern recognition. This activity serves to show some of the learning from Digital Camp, free in-person extracurricular digital training activities for boys, girls and young people from 9 to 17 years old that continue after the summer in an extracurricular format.

Visitors to stand 5C09 in Pavilion 5 will be able to become ethical hackers in an escape room on cybersecurity.Cybervolunteers

Digital Camp is an initiative promoted within the Digital Skills for Children Program, CODI, launched by the Ministry of Youth and Children and financed by the European Union-Next Generation EU.

SIMO is also the perfect place to join Cibervoluntarios Junior, a program for students aged 14 to 18 that encourages youth technological volunteering and is present through mini-games for identifying images and videos generated or manipulated by AI.

Thus, these programs reduce digital gaps, generate equal opportunities—especially in vulnerable contexts—and promote creativity, autonomy and active participation in responsible digital citizenship.
