AEMET alerts for the storm of rain, wind and floods

In the next few hours, a frontal system associated with the storm Claudia will leave rain in a good part of Spain, some locally intense, so The AEMET has activated orange and yellow notices in numerous provinces.

In Canary Islandsthe orange warning especially affects the most mountainous islands, where very strong and persistent showers that could cause ravines to rise and occasional floodss. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, rain will be less likely, although it is not ruled out.

On the Peninsula, Huelva will also be in the orange level due to very heavy rains, while persistent precipitation is expected in the north of Cáceres and the south of Castilla y León.

The wind will blow strongly in much of the country, with important risk in the Cantabrian mountain range, where hurricane gusts could be recorded. In Asturias and Cantabria will activate the orange warning due to this phenomenon. Storms are also expected, with a yellow warning in Huelva, Seville, Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
