A WhatsApp failure prevents the sending of videos: this is how you can solve it

Goal update WhatsApp very regularly, both to add new functions and to refine the user experience, but it can also happen that one of them breaks something that until then was working correctly. This is what has happened to some WhatsApp usersafter installing beta update 2.24.9.33 for Android which has brought an unexpected problem that affects the sending of videos.

This update had as its main interest the function of favorite contactsa new filter added to the All, Unread and Groups above the list of chats that seeks to streamline the management of conversations. But in the end it has not been the main novelty.

According to the WABetainfo portal, numerous users have reported the malfunction that occurs when trying to send a video, both in an individual or group chat or if you want to upload a video to a status. In these cases, the app displays the following message: “This video cannot be sent. Choose a different one and try again”.

This medium limits the “critical error” to the beta version, although Xataka points out that affects all types of users. According to this medium, the problem comes from a failure in the process of converting a video for sending and occurs randomly.

A possible solution is make a backup copy of WhatsApp to then free up the storage space used by the app. This option is available from the Android settings, in the Applications > WhatsApp section. After this action, you just have to restore the backup to recover the content and get the app to work normally again.

Fortunately and after WABetainfo's public call to Meta to solve this incident, made this Saturday, WhatsApp has almost immediately released a patch that eliminates the bug. If you have encountered the problem, you just have to update to the version 2.24.10.3 from Google Play so that your WhatsApp can once again allow you to send videos without problems.
