The next pact between the Popular Party and Vox barely has a few hours left to come out of the oven. As LA RAZÓN has learned from sources familiar with the negotiation, Jorge Azcón intended to announce the good news on April 23. But Vox wants it to be even sooner. Everything will depend on how some obstacles that still prevent definitive understanding are resolved.
The programmatic document that the two parties have signed in Extremadura contains many of the measures that will appear in the successive texts of Aragon and Castilla y León, but the correlation of forces imposes a logic: The greater the representation of Vox, the greater the space for its proposals.
And not only. The green formation, according to the sources consulted by this newspaper, is demanding another “armchair distribution” different for the Aragonese Government Council. The intention is to gain representation.
Maria Guardiolawith a lead of 27 points, has granted Vox a vice presidency and two council positions. In Aragón and Castilla y León, where the distance between the two parties is smaller, Vox wants to take on other portfolios. The forecast, therefore, is that the Azcón government will have a different distribution.
Said Ignacio Garriganumber two of Vox, who “the music” The pact in Aragon will sound very similar to that of Extremadura. Not so the lyrics. There are particularities that force you to write a different text. For example, Vox wants to extract from the PP a commitment to put a stop to the deployment of renewable energies, which, in turn, has been a key element in Azcón’s economic policy.
In the past, PP and Vox brought tax reforms to the Cortes to tax the environmental and visual impact of photovoltaic or wind plants on the natural environment: its landscape, flora and fauna. The green party’s crusade against “the uncontrolled implementation” of new energy sources in the Aragonese region, the community where they have proliferated the most in recent years, is nothing new.
In reality, the most prominent chapter will once again be that of immigration. In this regard, we can expect a battery of all-purpose proposals: the rejection of the distribution of illegal immigrants, whether they are adults or minors, the reinforcement of security in reception centers, the prohibition of the burqa or the niqab in public spaces or the aforementioned “national priority” for the granting of social aid.
As LA RAZÓN published, the phrase will not, in reality, exclude legal immigrants from aid, but will establish a «scaling» for access to depending on what benefits. The criterion will be roots. As for the illegals, PP and Vox sell as a novelty that they will not be able to benefit from any help when this is what happens today.
Of Vox’s more ideological agenda, the novelty is that no measure regarding abortion, gender violence or LGTBI laws will appear in Aragon either, flags that the party has lowered to enhance the workerist turn and thus attract left-wing voters.
