The saga of ‘The Hunger Games’ has chosen Asturias as the main setting for its next film, ‘Harvest Dawn’, which will be released in November 2026. Its sixth installment has chosen Somiedo and Teverga to film several scenes of what will be another prequel that will take place 25 years before the first Hunger Games.
Last Thursday the official account of this project made the first trailer official, where several of the most outstanding landscapes of the community could be observed and which are perfect for the course of the feature film.
“What do you think of how Asturias looks? Spectacular, right?”
During the summer months, Fear It was the main place where the American filming landed, where the place of the Lake Valley took all the limelight. For its part, it has also been possible to witness the presence of Tevergamore specifically the Montegrande beech forestlocated right around the port of Ventana.
“What do you think of how Asturias looks? Spectacular, right?”published the official Tourism Asturias account along with a video on its social networks. It should be noted that Somiedo was declared a Natural Park in 1988 and a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2000, which further increases the fortune and wealth of Asturians.
They filmed in summer and had to fill the Asturian fields with green
Film critic Álex Sowick made a small criticism of the announcement of this film. During the two and a half minutes you can see a story in which all the props and spaces are very realistic. Nevertheless, something happens that not everyone has been able to perceive and that has caught the attention of this content creator, who has expressed it on his social networks:
“They didn’t realize that in the middle of August, which was when they were going to shoot the scene, the valley was not going to be as green as it usually is in spring. So the team put the artificial green inside the circle and everything outside had to be recreated by computer, in CGI”Sowick explained.
